Rotary dosing system for industrial, technical lubricants
The SOMA RDS (Rotary Dosing System) enables rotationally symmetrical products to be greased intelligently: programmable, volumetric and contactless.
Rotationally symmetrical components form the key elements of many products and are therefore used in virtually all areas of industry. Wear produced by friction can be seen in many applications involving rotationally symmetrical components and can be significantly reduced by using a defined volume of appropriate lubricant in a specific location.
The SOMA RDS rotary dosing system offers maximum flexibility in fully automatic lubricant dosing for rotationally symmetrical products - configurable, volumetric and contactless. Based on the proven SOMA IDV impulse dosing valve and a hollow-shaft stepper motor, the SOMA-RDS rotary dosing system showcases its benefits in this area.
Any number of dosing points across 360° are freely programmable. Optional full monitoring with the SOMA DIS dosing inspection system.

Areas of application
Sometimes it is not possible to lift out a component and turn it in front of the nozzle because of the cycle time and design factors. With the RDS, any number of dosing points can be freely programmed across 360°. Greasing is also possible from the inside and outside.

* For speeds faster than 3.5 seconds/revolution, a 10 kHz pulse direction terminal is required. A motor controller is included for installation in your control cabinet. A higher-level control system performs the activation.
